The National Programme Manager of Saving One Million Lives Programme for Results. (SOMLPforR) Dr. Ibrahim kana, after welcoming the representatives of National Bureau of Statistics, UNICEF Nigeria, USAID, National Primary Health Care Development Agency, Federal Ministry of Health Nigeria, The World Bank Group Nigeria, The Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health Programme in Nigeria, etc The SOMLPforR Boss, Dr. Kana presented the Overview of the National Nutrition and Health Survey (NNHS), Nigeria 2018.

The presentation which objectives were

Determine tge prevalence of acute and chronic malnutrition among children under 5 years.

Determine tge prevalence of acute malnutrition among women 15-49 years.

Acces the 14-day retrospective prevalence of common childhood illness (diarrhea, fever, cough, and ARI) and their management/treatment among children under 5 years.

Access levels of infant and young child (IYCF) precatices among 0-23months old children.

Access the vaccination (penta, measles) coverage among young children.

Access contraceptive prevalence rate, skilled birth attendance; HIV counceling and testing among women attending antenatal care; and use of mosquito nets.
